I teach at a small school and one of my classes later today has five students in it. I found out this morning that three of the students are out today. This will make it a class of two students. The plan for today was a class discussion, which is almost impossible in a class of two. Also with where we are with the chapter it will be hard to do anything with only two students.

I'm thinking of giving the two students a study hall today, but was wondering what you would do in this type of situation.

Give them review of the prior day’s lesson or reinforce previously taught concepts. You can also have them do an interactive game that pertains to the planned class discussion.
