Does anyone know of any good social studies websites? My kids know NOTHING about social studies. We are very confused on the difference between countries and states and where everything is at. I have already covered continents, oceans, regions of the US and they are still struggling. Any ideas? I am desperate.

I think it would be best to search for the specific topic within social studies that you are preparing to teach. It's such a broad topic that it's difficult to find everything you would need in one place.

Personally, assuming it's geography you are looking for, I'd go to Teachers Pay Teachers to find some resources on projects that you could do. I'd also look for read alouds. I taught a geography unit in second grade last year, and it involved many read alouds, videos, and projects.

If that site is too difficult, do a search for 3rd grade social studies and you will find info from various schools and their textbooks.
