anyone else tried this? what was your result?

I have the answer to my own question. The ticket disappears the day that your can call. Appearantly they do not want you to find out any earlier than that date. So today is the date that I could call and my ticket for the test I scheduled to retake disappeared. So I called anyway and paid the $30 because I couldn't wait any longer to know my scores. I passed both tests I took. On the Business Education exam I got a 710 and needed a 570 for my state. On the PLT Grades 7-12 I got a 184 and needed a 161 for my state. And according to the ETS website, my PLT score qualifies me for the Recognization of Excellence certificate. So all that worrying for nothing!
Congragulations to all of you! I also passed my test. Its such a relief to put problem behind my ongoing issues.
So I go on to get my preliminary license in Middle school math and hopefully a better opportunity to get hired.
The other news that I also got is, I have an interview setup for middle school special ed next week. Now with my preliminary license, it will be so much more easy.
Congratulations, both of you!
Thanks for the tip about registration disappearing! It was nice to find out today (instead of waiting until Tuesday) that I passed my Praxis II.
Now, if they can give scores via phone, why does it take them longer to put them online? Either they have a very antiquated, inefficient database system (somehow I doubt this), or they delay to entice people to call and pay.
Congrats to everyone who passed their tests. It sure is a great feeling to be done with it all, isn't it?

Where exactly does the ticket disappear from? Are you looking under My test registration and orders?
Yeah. It the order should be gone from y our order list. And also when you first log in there should be no link to print an admission ticket.

I am new to this site and took the Praxis on March 14th also. They always say when you go looking you may find something that you do not want to see. I checked my registration/order link today and it was still there for April 25th. I guess I did not pass. I am so dissappointed. It was too late for me to call. I guess I will have to wait until in the morning to see how bad I did. I studied so hard and I have to take the Praxis 1 Friday. I am so happy for each of you though.
Maybe just maybe because I rescheduled on the last day of regular registration that will make a difference. The representative told me that I would have to call to request a refund before I registered online. Who knows? If not I will pick myself up and move forward. It is over and done with.
Once again congrats and good luck in your careers.
Passing Praxis II
I took my Praxis II exam Elementary Education 0014 on 3/14 and TOMORROW the scores are mailed, so I can finally check it via the internet by tomorrow afternoon but... I couldn't wait. I finally gave in and checked my score on Friday over the phone for the very expensive $30.
The day before my exam, I had lots of sinus pressure and headaches, so I took some sinus medicine before turning in early for the night before my exam. I didn't notice that the medicine said 12 hour non-drowsy and I was up all night crying my eyes out because I couldn't sleep and didn't want to chance sleeping in if I took a sleeping aid. Needless to say, by the test at 8am, I was miserable. I didn't expect much of anything except to just get it done.
180!!!!!!!! I passed! Virginia requires 143.:woot:
Elementary teaching license, here I come! After 18 months of schooling, of course.
I am not sure if you read my last post, but I am so special. The registration for the March exam was still posted. I did not pay a bit of attention to the date. I was sitting here feeling sorry for myself and I kept going back and forth to the ETS website. I clicked on the details and saw the testing site where I took it in March. The testing center was not the same for the April test. I looked at the date and sure enough it was not for April. The registration was gone. I PASSED... I PASSED. I will find out my score tomorrow. Thanks for the info everyone. I will let you know the score tomorrow. God is good. God is good. I was up praying all last night. All I have to do is take the Praxis 1. I will be joining the cohort for Nashville Teaching Fellows in June. YEAH!!!! I will teach ELL in the fall. God is good!!!!

You now I did the exact same thing, I keep looking at that registration page on the ETS website knowing I did not see that line for April 25 and could not move. I got butterflies, I finally did it!! I passed!! Now, I am off to apply for my license and go to a job fair. God is good!!

I wish I could just go teach now. I have to take my Praxis before I apply for school to become a teacher. NOW I get to apply to school and hope that the Praxis misery was worth it!

It will be worth it once you are starting to make a difference in a child's life. You can pass this Praxis. I am rooting for you.

Nashville Teaching Fellows
I was wondering if you could give me a little info about the Nashville Teaching Fellows. I want to apply for next year's cycle, and I was wondering if you know what partner university the fellows will be enrolling in order to receive their alternative license. I wanted to do a little research and see if that partner school would also have a masters program. I tried emailing Nashville Teaching Fellows, but they haven't gotten back to me, I'm assuming a lot is going on for them since the summer training is about to begin. Hope you don't mind me asking you! Thank you for the help.

Nashville Teaching Fellows
I just saw this. I am so sorry that it was so long. I don't have notifications come to my e-mail. What is your e-mail address and I will give you some info on the program. I just the 5 week program this past Thursday. I have had some interviews and a prospective job. I have some other interviews coming up. The partnering university is Belmont. It is such a wonderful program. I could not see myself going into teaching without the information we obtained through this program. You can send me a private message and we can exchange e-mail addresses. I cannot figure out how to do it on here. I would love to tell you about the process and my experience.
I am a teacher in MNPS, so if you have any q's at all, feel free to ask! Congrats on being a Nashville Teaching Fellow, tcharite, and best wishes, Carbon! That is awesome that it is such a great program.

When I took my Praxis 2 last year I waited for the mail option. In all honesty it only took an extra 2 days to get mine in the mail compared to if I had paid the extra $$$$.

Hello everyone! I'm 100% new to this forum and am very excited to get involved
I actually have an interview with Nashville Teaching Fellows on Sunday and I am extremely nervous! I'm doing my sample lesson on hyperbole and I'm worried if my assessment of the students understanding is good enough...
I'm going to end my lesson with an excerpt from a tall tale and then ask for volunteers to underline the hyperboles from the story. Do you think this is good enough?
Welcome to A to Z, lovewisely... but, um, I'm not at all sure why you've posted about teaching a sample lesson in the midst of a thread about taking single subject teacher tests.
You might do better to post in the Job Seekers forum.
