Help.....My only test left is the Praxis 5004 Social Studies. I just took it for a 3rd time and pretty sure I didn't pass. It gave me a NS (no score) not sure what that means. I have the
Praxis II Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects (5001) Exam Secrets Study Guide: Praxis II Test Review for the Praxis II: Subject Assessments - which I have read thousands of times. And I also have used teacherstestprep. I am ALWAYS coming up short by like 3-5 points. It is getting me very frustrated and feeling like I will never pass

I always had a hard time taking test. Any suggestions on what else I can do? The questions are ALWAYS different which I know they are supposed to be but it seems like they are always covering different topics. So I try to add the topics I just read about but that doesn't seem to help

I feel like I will never pass this test. If I don't pass this next time I feel like I am done.

    Any suggestions

NS might simply mean that the version of 5004 you took is new enough that Praxis is still working out how raw scores on it translate to scaled scores.

For purposes of elementary-school teacher tests, it can help to think of history as the story of how the United States of the 21st century came to be as it is. Pretty much everything in the US Constitution (including amendments, of course) has its roots in issues that human beings have been dealing with throughout history: how society is organized, who's in charge and who gets to decide who's in charge, how people make a living, and how people resolve differences among themselves.

If the test-prep books aren't engaging you in social studies, try books that aren't for test prep. A good historical atlas, such as Dorling Kindersley's Atlas of World History, offers an overview of history that shows where events happened. "For Dummies" books are approachably written and generally good at highlighting the major themes of history. YouTube videos, such as the Hip Hughes History series, can be very helpful; see Richard Byrne's blog Free Technology for Teachers, www.freetech4teachers.com, for other possibilities.

Hi I'm just sick over my praxis 5001. I just finished and here are my raw scores:
    LA 42
    Math 28
    Social Studies 30
    Science 38
    Did I pass anything? :(

All my scores, except science, average to 50% and worse!

Average 50% and worse? I think not. According to the Study Companion, https://www.ets.org/s/praxis/pdf/5001.pdf, page 5, you should have had 80 LA questions, 50 math questions, 55 social studies questions, and 50 science questions. Your science score is pretty strong: 38/50 is 76%. 30/55 in social studies isn't as strong but is still 55%. 28/50 in math is 56%. Your 42/80 is the closest to 50% at about 53%. And let me point out that Praxis says that not all the questions are counted in scoring: your raw scores include all and only questions that do count, so your final percentages will be higher.

Did you pass all four subtests? Hard to say right now. Did you pass at least one? Probably.

    Breathe, please.

Thank you, I am just struggling because I passed all my other state required tests and have a 4.0 GPA. However, I work full-time for a school, part time at another job, and I'm a full-time mom so that's a lot of stress on me.
I did however find this on my state Department of education's site
Praxis Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects (5001) Test

    Reading and Language Arts (5002) 157 scaled score (42 raw-score points) July 1, 2015
    Mathematics (5003) 157 scaled score (26 raw-score points)
    Social Studies (5004)* 155 scaled score (35 raw-score points)
    Science (5005)* 159 scaled score (33 raw-score points)

Hi. I just took the PRAXIS 5001 in the state of Hawaii for the first time. Here are my raw scores. Any idea of what the scaled scores could be?
    LA: 50 out of 80
    Math: 26 out of 55
    SS: 32 out of 55
    S: 41 out of 50

    Thank you!

Passing raw scores on one version of a subtest don't necessarily predict exact passing raw scores on another: questions and versions of tests inevitably differ. Renee56, you've almost certainly passed science, but I'd hesitate to commit on the other three right now. Keep us posted, please.

I took the 5004 and 5005 about two weeks ago, no score was shown but I did get a 'raw score' on specific areas of the test. 35 on the science and 36 on social studies.
It was my 4th time taking the test and these are my highest 'raw scores', I'm nervously waiting on results and I pray that I pass.

Congratulations on your personal best raw scores, destin4success2! Hold onto the fact that you accomplished that, please, whatever else happens.

35/50 is 70% correct and 36/55 is just about 2/3. As I've explained to michellems, not all questions count and the questions that don't count have already been removed from your tally, so your final percentages should go up. I think you stand a decent chance of passing science. Whether you've passed social studies is harder to say.

Hi I have a question, Im recently in a battle trying to pass by a deadline. My raw score for Praxis II Social Studies 5004 was a 32....Was your score of a 172 based off a raw score lower than this or higher? Just very nervous about passing :(
