I just took my Praxis 5001 set of tests and at the end received both raw scores and an unofficial scaled score. My scores seemed good with Literacy- 199 Math- 196 Social Studies- 195 and Science- 199 but when I looked at the raw scores it seems like there is no way they could be that good. I understand that the score is scaled but could they really be that different? For reference, my raw scores were Literacy- 27/33 Math 15/7/11 Social Studies 21/13/11 and Science 15/16/17. The only other thing I could think is that I copied down the raw scores incorrectly because I was nervous/excited and in a hurry. I hadn't originally planned to copy the raw after seeing my scaled but decided to at the last minute.

Mostly just wondering if it is really safe to celebrate passing or if I should think that my official scaled score will be vastly different from the unofficial. Thanks for any help!

In practice, it doesn't seem to be the case that a lower scaled score is reported on the official score report than showed up unofficially right after the test.
