    Hello,
I was hoping someone had any experience engaging in art related Profession Learning Communities. School sites often require teacher development meetings but are centered around finding solutions to general education goals and seldom involve elective or specials teachers. If so, were you able to do these on your school site, district-wide, through workshops, or virtually? I would love to hear your experience as well as any recommendations to making connections to art development communities. Thank you.

I know someone who recently came to school
But the topic of art can not be caught up in schools
Because it is so commonplace to the public that it is out of school lessons

My school started having weekly PLC time once a week. At first the special area teachers tried all meeting face-to-face at one school but they were really rushing to get back to their own sites before they had to start teaching. Now most weeks they meet via Google Hangouts. As for as PD/outside the district community, I don't know as much there.

Hmm our school has PLCs for just our school's staff once a month in the mornings before the kids arrive. We have one next month on music in our classrooms so that's kind of related? I think each school does their own though. They're not district wide.
