    Hello everyone:

I need help to get ready for my CSET 215, the new Science CSET. Any suggestion regarding the prep courses that I can take online?

    Thank you

I am curious about this also. Are there any prep books made for the new tests?

Use the old books and supplement online so your science is current. In addition, bear in mind that you're expected to teach scientific terminology and phrasing (that is, technical terms but also the meaning and use of passive voice and the absence of absolutes, among other things: it's "The hypothesis is supported by...", not "I proved this hypothesis...") and scientific text structures such as lab reports and the difference between popular-press science writing and science-journal writing. You can find some help with that in the state English/language arts framework, on the cde.ca.gov website.

Don't get the CSET Science Exam Secrets book. Local library had a copy and I highly do not recommend it. As far as sources, get your hands on a general Science textbook somewhere. Print out and start answering all bullet points on this test guide (official CTC test guide for CSET 215 posted online): https://www.ctcexams.nesinc.com/content/docs/CSET_Prep/CS_215subtestdescription.pdf

Highly recommend Bozeman and Crash Course videos on youtube if you are more of a visual person.
Also any AP science manuals that you can borrow from the library to help answer the questions.

Can't speak about the prep courses, but study in a way that you are thoroughly familiar with all material on the test guide.

    Good luck!
