I would love to hear more about your thoughts about homework! Earlier in the year, I would assign homework a 2-3 times a week and it would be about we were learning. I usually have about 60-70% homework completion (which isn't bad). Because we have standardized testing coming up, I've started weekly review homework packets (2 pages). I include an example problem and review of different topics that we have studied. I like it so far because I don't have to deal with passing out hw or checking it more than once a week and kids are reviewing skills. I pass it out on Monday and collect it on Friday. I quickly check each one and students get completion credit (unless they the quality is extremely poor.) Completion has dropped off a little bit though...I am generally pleased with the quality from the students who do complete it and I think it will help with reinforcing skills they've learned. What do you do for homework?
