@whizkid, I saw Godzilla today. It was awesome! Have you seen it yet?
Not yet, maybe next week. I'm ready for X-Men Dark Phoenix.
Me, too! And are you enjoying your excursion out of state? Recommend any series on Netflix this summer?

A well-deserved day at a theme park on June 5th before all the school kids are out for the summer!
My SO and I both need it to clear our minds. He's been emotionally drained lately and I've worked hard like crazy, especially in May.
Supergirl, Spartacus, Roman Empire
Oh yes, no children, no coworkers, great food, great sleep, tis the life. I'm taking some killer naps, streaming Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime. Going to soak in this hot tub before more movies tonight! Only the second one day of the summer break!
Love it! Which theme park, if you don’t mind me asking?
Enjoy it, my friend. The single life is grand, isn’t it? I think it is awesome that I can do whatever I want, when I want, and I wouldn’t give that up for the world, especially when you consider the alternatives.
I have coworkers who constantly complain about leaving a school full of kids to go home and worry with their own. Hey, if someone wants that, go for it, but I just can't see how you can fully enjoy a vacation with that responsibility.
Today, I stayed in bed until 10:00 AM. The plan was to clean up the garden patch and ready it for planting, but that didn't happen. It will tomorrow though.
Sounds like a day well spent to me. Keep up the great work, lol!

This break has been so tremendous so far. I don't know anyone and no one knows me. Incredible sleep, incredible naps, incredible food, haven't been around not even one child, oh, just heaven.
I have about three weeks left. However, these three weeks include lots of fun activities, final exams (it is elementary, but we do give final exams), field day, special ed picnic, and early release days. I stop full-length instruction tomorrow. We will finish up our final units, though. By Friday, I will not technically teach in ELA, SS, and Sci. In Sci and SS, the last unit test will be given for all grades. Test prep will end in reading on Wednesday. For Thursday in reading, we are doing popcorn theatre. I have one more assignment for students to work on in writing. The assignment is actually a test grade. The assignment is likely going to take two weeks.

If I had to leave the chaos of school and come home to a house full of chaos I would probably shoot myself. Just my dog there when I get home and then I have an hour or 2 of quiet until hubby gets home
I've even had coworkers who facetiously asked (I hope it was facetious) if I wanted to take their children home with me......
Yes. The last day for elementary students is June 20. It is a early release day. Actually, June 18, 19, and 20 are early release days (released at 11:30 am).
Today was my first day of break, and I went to work and painted my classroom.
You stop working right now, lol! (Just kidding, do whatever the heck you want.)
