Dumb question, but are high school teachers allowed to high-five students?

Dumb question, I know. But I honestly never witnessed any teacher at my high school give a high-five to any student before when greeting them in the classroom not even when they answer a question right. I was just wondering if there is any particular reason I've never witnessed it at the high school level (not even when I was a student). Is it allowed? Is there any way of getting in trouble with parents or school principal if I high-five the students?

We usually go with a fist bump at my school. I'm sure there are variations on this.

High fives, fist bumps, all pretty normal.

A high five or a fist bump is usually okay at a school. If a high school or any school has rules against something like that, I think they'd make it pretty clear to their staff.

I don't like to high five because I don't like student germs. I will occasionally fist bump a student but I'm an old lady and it feels weird. Because I'm an old lady it is perfectly acceptable for me to pat a student on the back for a job well done, as I'm circulating the room. When that becomes unacceptable, it will be time for this old lady to retire.

High school teacher here. 49 year-old guy.
I shake hands, fist-bump, high fight, and occasionally will pat on the shoulder.
