Getting ready to retake subtest 2 for the 5th time. Does anyone have any tips? I've tried watching youtube videos and used Cliff notes. I do fairly well on multi choice but have a difficult time with cr. I am getting so discouraged

Have you tried Kahn Academy? It's an excellent resource for the Math section, and they way he explains problems will indeed help you answer the CR's....

I just took Subtest 2 for the 2nd time yesterday and completely messed up on all the written questions, and i know i got at least 1 question wrong for the multiple choice. Unless I get ++++ for both sections there's no way I passed.
But anyway, my study methods are cliffnotes, CTC practice tests, khanacademy and youtube videos.
I hope you pass this time, don't be nervous and practice a lot of the wording on the CR and you'll be fine. It seems like you're ok on the multiple choice so just spend a little more on the short answers.

    Hugs, ShandiMC2019.

A strong +++ in both multiple choice and constructed response can be a passing score.

    Keep us posted, please.

thank you so much for the support! I got +++ in both sections last time and + (the diagnostics were one check mark, ks, k and ks) for CR, but my score was 205. So unless I have ++++ in both sections, I don't think I have a chance at passing.
Like i said, I completely messed up on the written questions. it'd be a miracle that I pass but I will keep you posted!!!

I have been practicing and studying for my CSET for the past 5 months. And have been postponing my tests. The constructed questions in the CliffsNotes and Mcgraw hill's seems tough for Science subtest. Like Punnett square for DNA, Molar, and concentration.

How do the constructed response questions look like? A few sample questions would be very helpful. Are they really that hard?

I did my CBEST and I am looking to finish CSET and join MA education in spring.

    Thanks for any help

I was lucky because I got pretty much the same set of questions as the first time. I wrote everything I remembered and studied off of that. Plus notes from my friends who also took the test, made an outline, did the practice tests over and over until I memorized everything. My advice is to take the practice tests as many times as you can, organized an outline with video and word answers, write as much as you can on the written response, show your work, use key words. Even if your answers are wrong, you will still get credit for the work.

Don't be nervous, you don't have to answer everything correctly to pass. Please feel free to ask more questions if you have any!
