Does anyone know if this is an elective in secondary yet? It's what my degree is in. I'd love to teach a course on it one day, but wasn't sure if it was making it into public schools or not.

    Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge, not on Long Island.

Although I do have two friends, chemistry teachers, who are teaching forensic science classes. (One on LI, the other in Illinois)

I live in Texas and it was an option in HS as a dual credit class (this may have since changed it was 10 years ago;) ). Dual credit is where HS students go to a local community college and receive credit for HS and college hours. I would probably just call a few high schools and ask!

It is offered in Phoenix, at some schools (like mine) but at our school it is taught by the school resource officer.
