Wondering if anyone has has their Praxis scores delayed or challenged? I took the Praxis Core (all three parts in June 2017. I passed the Reading (188) and Writing (182) but not the Math (140). I re-took the Math part last week and got a192 (unofficial). During my first test I had computer issues where the testing center proctor had to turn the computer off and then eventually get a manager (I had already completed one part and the computer screen message said the data would be lost if continuing). I have a lot of text anxiety and was extremely nervous for the math part (not my strong suit) and with the computer issue I ran out of time and just blanked out. In the weeks between the first and second test I studied everyday and used Dr. Lynn Gardner's math made easy materials. I felt more prepared than I did for the first and was more confident. I a notice from ETS that my scores were being delayed and I needed to contact their office of integrity. I am going to call Monday but it's kind of feeling me out. Just curious as to why they would delay your score.

Update: ETS stated that Praxis has a protocol and if your score increases above their statistical threshold then they automatically review your score. The review consists of them going back to the test center and comparing the photos, confidential statements etc. between the first and second test date. If all is well then my scores will be confirmed in a week, if not then I will receive something in the mail as to what the further review would be. I'll just hope that my scores are up Saturday as I am who I am :). I get there could be fraud out there, but when you know you worked your tail off and not having any computer issues is a huge plus) and improved your score it's frustrating to be questioned on it. I'll keep you posted!

Sounds very stressfull but all they will do is compare your drivers license probably. Congrats on making them do more work for the same money! You are sticking it to the MAN!

If you exceeded the Praxis statistical threshold, you must have walloped the test this time: well done!

Thankfully got word from ETS today that my scores were validated and nothing else further to investigate. That's a relief!

Awesome and now future test takers won't freakout when they get this notice because when they search online they will find your thread.

This post makes me feel a lot better. I logged into ETS to see that my praxis writing score said my score was delayed and to call. I called but, of course they are closed for the weekend. The first time I took my praxis writing, I accidentally pressed 'next' on the 2nd essay before typing it, which resulted in a 140 Praxis score. I took it again about 2 weeks ago. I'm hoping things go well when I speak with them on Monday!
