    Hi guys,

So I'm really determined to relocate to America and preferably the East Coast. I have been an English teacher for 6 years now in high school and I absolutely love my job! Love my colleagues, the school and the students are amazing. So I know what you are thinking - why leave? Well, I need a change, and I need it to be drastic. I'm originally from Ireland and moved here 16 years ago, (I'm 33 now) however, the reason I moved here is no longer valid. So, long story short, if anyone could point me in the right direction for school vacancies that would accept applications from a UK/Irish citizen, particularly around the NYC/Boston area, I would be really grateful.

I'm not sure how UK certification translates to US certification in each state. It's best to contact someone in NY and MA state education departments.

You need a valid Visa to work in the United States.
Look into this program (official government website) https://j1visa.state.gov/programs/teacher/
