Just read the update on CNN. Thankfully, no fatalities or serious injuries have been reported. The 7.0 quake was the 2nd largest quake; the one in 1964, 9.2, was the most powerful in the U.S. Since the initial earthquake Friday, there have been 230 aftershocks with more anticipated; not all were strong enough to be felt.

Thanks for the update. I haven’t been following the Alaskan earthquake and so this is great news to hear. The USA doesn’t need any more natural disasters!!! Between the fires in CA, the earthquakes in Alaska, and the 500+ car accidents on the east coast from the snowy weather, things are getting way out of hand...

A college friend lives up in that area; she described about how she started to be able to feel the various aftershocks and even started making predictions about how big they were based on when she felt it (i.e. when typing vs. when lying down doing nothing, etc...). She also mentioned that thankfully, people who live up there tend to be more prepared - due to the weather - than many usually would be.

    Thankful for no injuries/fatalities!

I’m glad your friend is safe and that there were no injuries!

Also, I think her experimental exercise is very clever and I would not have thought to do that.
