To all those who have been so sympathetically reading about my disastrous first month as a teacher, 1. THANK YOU, and 2. Today went OK! :woot:

That's right! I have no idea what happened... a clear miracle... but the kids who nearly sent me packing yesterday (and the day before, and the one before that...) behaved, participated in my activities, didn't beat each other up, spent more time in the classroom than out, and even got interested in one activity without complaining!

I'm not saying I didn't have to give any warnings or dock any points or mend any bruised feelings or break up fights, but at least it worked. It was better than I'd ever hoped for. :2up:

    THANK YOU, GOD.

I don't have class tomorrow. I wonder what Monday will be like

I am positive it was nothing I did, by the way. I came in today overtired, drained, with desperation still left over from yesterday... This was definitely a free gift from God. I believe.

That's the great thing about this job--the fact that those little darlings can always surprise you and "pull one out of the hat" when you least expect it and when you really need it! The good days will become more frequent and may, soon, outnumber the not-so-good. Have a great weekend!
